Coster Group is proud to announce the publication of its eighth Sustainability Report, showcasing a year of significant progress across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions.
The year 2024 marked an important milestone in the company’s sustainability journey. The following highlights showcase the Group’s most impactful achievements, reflecting its ongoing commitment to sustainability and underscoring its responsibility to all the company’s stakeholders to create long-term value across operations.
Coster Group reached a major milestone: 100% of its electricity consumption was sourced from renewable energy. This achievement, along with the validation of its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirms the Group’s alignment with the 1.5°C climate pathway. Furthermore, the company’s commitment to circularity was reinforced by achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification across all eight Italian production sites, with 99.995% of waste diverted from landfill or incineration.
Innovation remained central to the Group’s strategy, marked by the launch of the industry’s first metering bag-on-valve, as well as several POM-free components. The Group’s Machinery Business Unit developed the new Green-gas-ready filling machine designed for low-GWP propellants in pharma applications.
The report also highlights the company’s social commitment through the launch of “Together for Better”, a new initiative under the CosterCares programme aimed at fostering positive social impact.
Moreover, it underscores the expansion of Coster Group’s global footprint with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art facility in Cabreúva, Brazil, strengthening its international presence and operational capabilities.
Coster Group’s 2024 Sustainability Report reflects its belief that sustainability is not only a responsibility but a key driver of innovation, resilience, and long-term value creation.
This report has been prepared “with reference to” the 2024 consolidated edition of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, as included in the Annual Report dated December 31, 2024, and follows the Core option. A more comprehensive version “in accordance with” the GRI Standards is planned for release later this year.
